ADEGOKE IMPLORES PCMS TO PLAY THEIR PART TOWARDS NATIONAL INTEGRATION EFFECTIVELY
The 2021 Batch B stream I Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) have been implored on the need to uphold the national service diligently so that the core objective of the Scheme which is national integration and unity is not defeated.
This was said by the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Adegoke Ayodele while briefing the prospective corps members on Sunday, duly witnessed by officials and security personnel at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
Mr Adegoke went ahead to enlighten the prospective corps members on the history of NYSC, as well as set objectives for its establishment, the cardinal programs which a corps member must participate in to qualify for the national certificate of service, camp administration and functions of various committees on camp and the need to meet the scheme’s expectations and mandate.
Again, he instructed the PCMs to avoid any form of unionism and factional interest and rather focus on cultivating positive friendships.
On obedience to constituted authority, he encouraged all PCMs to be loyal, diligent and dutiful in carrying out tasks that have been assigned to them and shun all forms of bad behaviors.
Furthermore, the NYSC Boss encouraged PCMs to leave a mark that would not be forgotten, whose impact will transcend generations.
While giving vote of thanks on behalf of fellow PCMs, Jimoh Taofik Adekunle with the Code No. OS/ 21B/0319 thanked the Osun NYSC for all it put in place in giving them nothing short of best value.
“On behalf of fellow Prospective Corps Members, we express our appreciation wholeheartedly to Osun NYSC Management, starting from Governor Oyetola Gboyega the executive Governor of Osun State, Mr. Adegoke Ayodele the State Coordinator, Mr. Adamu Abdullahi the Camp Director, Captain P.M Egbe the Camp Commandant, Mrs. Jummai Adebola the DG Representative on camp, heads of units and other officers.
“We are assuring you of our commitment to national unity and continued coexistence as we promise to serve Osun State in good faith and to uphold national integration.
“We assure you of our part in ensuring we have a united Nigeria.
“We therefore promise to be of best behavioural disposal throughout our one-year programme and abide by the rules and regulations” he said.
