The Assistant Director Corps Inspection and Monitoring, Mr Jimmy Fatogun, on Saturday admonished the 2021 Batch B stream I corps members to create time to familiarize themselves with publications on the Scheme during the orientation exercise. As this will arm them with a good knowledge of the scheme’s cardinal programs, operations as well as code of conduct for corps members.
Mr. Fatogun, while delivering the lectures on corps inspection and monitoring at the Permanent Orientation Camp Ede, urged all PCMs to go through their Service Guide in order to know more about the rules and regulations so as not to run foul of the spelt out rules for a successful service year.
Speaking on traveling, he enjoined them to avoid unnecessary journeys, night traveling and crawling as this is against the policy of the scheme.
“Prospective Corps Members should seek for permission through writing and get approval before embarking on any journey.
He urged to be good ambassadors of the scheme at their places of primary assignment and avoid truancy as this may attract extension of service.
He further encouraged them to be dutiful, humble, resourceful and committed to rendering selfless service during the service year.
