~Combt Abegunde D. O
It’s very satanic and sardonic that our police men that supposed to prevent crime by keeping their eye on the crime situation in their district of responsibility, are the one that are now brutalise the innocent Nigerian’s.
It’s very painful that Nigeria police that suppose to make sure that the life of every citizen of Nigeria is priceless, and make sure that they are protected at all levels, by guiding their districts and do everything to prevent crimes that can potentially cause human death are the one Nigerians are afraid instead of arm robbers because of the way they use to extort money from them.
Posters bearing the inscription “The police is your friend” are displayed on the walls of police stations in Nigeria.
But for many Nigerians, the police are a foe and not a friend.
This applies especially to the mobile police SARS, a paramilitary arm of the Nigerian police.
It’s very obvious that On the streets of major Nigerian cities, SARs have cut a larger than life image.
All these are happening because they have the reputation of being poorly educated, poorly trained and trigger happy.
Nigerians have given them the nickname “kill and go” for their tendency to gun down innocent people and walk away.
Of recent, the country has witnessed an increase in the killing and maiming of innocent people by the mobile police and which lead to peaceful protest of entire youths of Nigeria.
in lieu of these, I combt Abegunde David Olumide as a well trained soldier, trained to fight right and to be the nation might for peace and war.
A soldier that have trained in every clime , in sun, rain on how to make use of weapon against enemies and within his buddies.
I joined my warrior voice to call on Inspector general of Nigeria police to please Re-orientate , Re-organize weapons training for our police officer’s and and Reform the SARS (Police)
Protecting lives and properties is our major duties. SAY NO TO BRUTALITY OF INNOCENT CITIZENS.
I SAY REFORM SARS.
Combt Abegunde David Olumide.
Human fighting for humanity.
